I'm looking for a replacement engine, JD is $5k and I would like to find a cheaper option.

You will hear Power Nation for parts in Nebraska, but I've discovered their prices are way too high. There are ATV/UTV salvage yards scattered around the country - one in North Central Minnesota for example. There was a brand new RSX crate motor on Craig'sList recently in the Twin Cities market so it's possible to find one there. I'd put the word out on every site I could think of and try to be patient. As Craig called it, I recommended you look at Power Sports Nation .

This is the only UTV Salvage yard that I have found that inventories JD Gator Parts. In my experience with them they will work on the price with you. They also offer free shipping and will likely take your core prepaid shipping also included.

If you haven't already, why not tear it down and explore rebuilding possibilities. Might be an option. Craig

Good point Craig, if the OP has the ability to rebuild the engine I know parts are available.

The Chery 825 platform is widely used in UTVís and cars overseas.
