Hello all. Just picked up a new to me gator 4x2 (2000). Im in the process of replacing fluids. Would someone please shed some light on the correct trans oil required. I assume I’ll need Hy Guard JD20C being I’m in South Louisiana. I’m confused on the mention of adding the PEMO additive with the JD20C vs using the Noise Reducing Fluid THF. I cant even find the PEMO additive, as of now.

All of my searches have yielded different results with some searches going back 5+ years... Thanks in advance.

I would answer this question but I believe the 2005 4x2 is different from the "classic" 4x2s. They are different transmissions right?

Typo on my part, SouthLake. It’s a 2000.

in that case...

5qts of TY6354
add 6oz of LVU11573
transmission drain plug o-ring: CH10570

the pemo is less for the transmission so to speak, and more to quiet down the wet brakes.

Yes I use pemo LVU 11573, after finding a post literally buried so deep in this forum, it was a needle in a haystack. I asked my dealer to find it, and it took them a week but they were able to get it in. It may be available online too.

Sometimes it pops up on ebay
