Air cleaner

New to the gator but want to see what others have to say, 2020 590M
I抦 worried about sucking dust into the engine.
Here in se Texas we have lots of dust , is this a worry or is the stock air cleaner good?
When Polaris came out they had problems . Prefilter, snorkel or quit worrying
Thanks enjoy the forums

I personally would not worry. The factory filters are very effective. I've had Gators come into the shop with incredible amounts of build up on the filter itself, yet the intake tube past the filter would pass a white glove test. In extremely dusty conditions, I would recommend changing the filter a bit more frequently for best performance. Welcome to GatorForums!

Israeli dust is one of the worst things ive ever seen and for some industrial clients in the desert they often look like they crashed into a babypowder factory.

Never had any problems, just make sure that all the hoses are tight and leak free because one small hole will sandblast the block

In the future inspect any rubbing parts often and if it looks like the hose is wearing out, replace and never ever use ductape as a patch.
75% of the engines we replace at less than 3000 hours have ductape on the intake aswell
