Alternator

I was moving some stone all day with my Xuv590m then started to hear a weird whistle so I stopped using it for a little and heard the whistle coming from the alternator. After getting back on noticed the engine malfunction dash light came on. Also noticed the pulley on the alternator not spinning up to speed. So I’m assuming that it’s the alternator. Thoughts guys?
