Analog Hour Meter

I have a older (1995) 4x2 gator. Current hour meter quit and want to replace it with a new digital meter. Analog meter has 2 connections on the back and the new digital has 4 connections. How can I wire this to work??

Since you haven't told us anything about your new hour meter it's pretty hard to help. What hour meter did you buy? Are the four connections labeled? Did the meter come with instructions? Is the screen backlit?

Since we have to be physic to answer the question, I’ll take a stab at it.

Red wire: power
Black wire: ground
Yellow: back light
Blue: mode change for hours minutes etc.

Let me know if this is old guess is close 😂😂😂😂😂
