Lights will not let Gator start

We have a 850 Gator. Whenever we turn the headlights on it will not start. If it sits there for a couple days, it starts. Doesn't make sense. Unhooked the headlights, still won't start. Help! Just paid $1000 to have new lights installed on roof and maintenance. Can't afford more!

If you just paid a $1,000 to have lights installed and there are issues, doesn't it make sense to take it back to the place of installation/repair?

Without knowing the specific details of the installation, it is impossible to give a qualified answer. They will be guesses at best.

Here's my first guess: Have the battery tested to make certain it is good. Most auto parts stores (autozone, advance auto, etc...) will check for free.

2012 JD855D OPS Black Poly Roof, Deluxe Cargo Box, Front and Rear Protection, Power Lift, Front Hood Rack, Rear Screen (homemade), 800 Watt Inverter, 2500lb Winch installed in cargo bed, Front and Rear LED auxiliary lighting (4" square 27 watt), Front and Rear CV Guards, Koplin Side Mirrors

The dealer is picking it up tomorrow his morning. We had this problem before they installed the new roof lights. Disconnected the headlights, still nothing. I'm thinking it's grounding out somewhere. I'm hoping they get it figured out quick, I use the heck out if this Gator!

Seems like the best option for your situation.

I hope they resolve the issue and you report back what they find or do to resolve the issue.
