2011 Gator 855D Injectors

Can anyone tell me if there is a copper washer on the end of the diesel injector where it goes into the head? I went to find a part number to order and looked on the injector diagram and also asked the John Deere dealer to look.

Neither of us saw where it called for one.

Yes there is and you need to look on the head parts page, need to replace each time you have a injector out , you will need 3 of m811967 heat shield and 6 of m89135 washers on each side of shield, also remember each injector goes with each cylinder so mark them.

And make sure you get the torque right. 36-43 ft-lb on the injectors and 18-24 ft-lb on the fuel return line nuts. The TM also has injector cleaning instructions. JD recommends a nozzle cleaning kit. If the orifice is out of spec, then I'd pop for new injectors or if you don't even want to fuss with them, go new. Problem is people don't have the specialized tools or pressure test equipment to verify the proper mist.

Thumbs up Injectors

THANK YOU!!

Your advice was spot on and greatly appreciated. It runs like a champ.

However, I just posted a new thread regarding the brakes...
