Starter issue

Hi friends. I recently replaced a starter 855d jd gator. Sometimes when i i start engine, i can hear starter run after along about a split second, what causes that a how can it be fixed? Thanks kindly for taking time to read..

Shouldnt be a problem or anything to worry about.
If it really is sticky however i would not hesitate to return in to where it came from

To add, if its a rebuilt starter it could very well have issues.
On my car i had to replace my alternator 3 times in a row because of faulty rebuilts

There was a post not too long ago about this....Read below.I have the same issue and have been hesitant to swap out. I did purchase a new one and probably will do it soon.Again mine only does it when it is cold. After it warms up no issues and no issues in the summer.
