Calling John Deere mechanics

Not sure where to put this

But 2014 John Deere 310sk backhoe
It抯 keyless. Has code start

Just happened today no start only click once when you push start button

Batteries are good power to starter 12v +

Bad starter ? Any ideas

Man there抯 a lot of wires on this thing

Starter looks like fun to pull

Id say a starter whent tits up.
If theres power and it ticks its usually the starter.

Dont trust your mechanics too much tho 😛

It was the positive battery cable looked like new corroded inside but would just let enough juice go thru for the click not enough to turn starter

New starter was 1065.00 glad didn抰 need it

Told you never to trust a mechanic.
Mechanics think differently, we tend to replace if it looks logical and its an easy job.
If its not the starter we put it back on the shelve.
Replacing a starter is usually a few minutes worth of time.

Hard to see things through the internet.
Also the state and age of the machine usually gives a few pointers as to the problem and most our clients are returning customers as i tend to see some machines on a monthly or bimonthly basis.

Bottom line, mechanics are the best to work on your machine but the worst to ask a question to
