This is a 48V system manual TM1766. The dump be is not working or works once a while. I am struggling to follow the wires to test because they split inside of the casing. Should one of the wires read 48V on the solenoid or should it read 24 then when completed read over 48 to trigger? The manual says everything should read 48 but im not sure if that's combined or power to ground on each of the wires coming out.

I tested the Red wire under the drivers seat that runs to the front and it reads 48V but then when i get under the hood i can't find any wires reading 48v.

Now I just also found the lights are not working. I took the switch out and its a problem with the switch, i am going to replace the switch tonight and see if that fixes the head lights. It failed on the continuity test.

Any help would be appreciated

I might have an old repair manual with electric diagrams on my other computer. It will be a little bit of time to access, so if you don't have an answer in a day or two I'll try and post relevant pages.

Jay,

Good news... I have access to the manual and have printed the relevant pages to a PDF file.

Bad news... Forum will not allow posting a 4+ Mb PDF file. Not aware of any way to post the file.

Option... Send me a private message with your email address and I'll send the file to you.

Regards,
Michael

Thank you for finding the manual can you email the manual to [email protected]. Last night I did some additional testing. At the head light I have 50v when I turn on it starts bright then dies out. When I test the connector again it's at 50v but the lights will not turn on. Switch tested ok. The dump bed solenoid will not click over. That switch has many lines running to it what should I test and should it read 50v or half.

Jay,

PDF file was sent a few minutes ago. I hope it has the information needed to fix your problem.
