Sorry, this is for a 2022 590M.

I have a 2021 590M and I ran into a somewhat similar problem on a different harness. It seems like the common issue is that JD make some model changes in 2021 on the 590, they did not update a lot of the companion accessory instructions. One harness I got did not even come with any instructions. Some of these harnesses are also used with the bigger brothers (600, 800 series). I ended up looking at few Youtube videos done by Western Equipment, even on different models to kind of point me in the right direction. What JD did do on the 590M is include some of the plug ins for some of the accessories already in the standard factory harness. You can find those plugs with some dielectric grease in them. JD also uses standard wire colors, such for always on power, switched power, etc.

Thanks for the response. It does seems they planned out future add ons fairly well with all the plug ins I’ve seen. I’d much rather spend a few extra bucks for a direct plug in than cutting and modifying.

You enter your serial number and it even covers the accesories, so you can double check before you purchase. I wanted to put in the dual beam headlights and had kind of back into which harness to buy, using this website.

Non solution yet. Here are some pics and diagrams to explain. Maybe someone has figured this out or if not maybe this provides help here in the future.

My 590M has the following 5 connectors in the location of the diagram.

The below connector utilized for the factor installed center brake/taillight differs from the 3 prong supplied in the light kit wiring harness.

I was under assumption the existing brake light harness was to be used for the center light and simply abandon the new duplicate plug at the roll bar location, depicted in the following photo with purple weather seal ring. Factory installed connector installed in to the light in the picture.

At this time it appears either I have the wrong harness in the light kit (although dealer verified parts number), or the 2022 590M uses a different plug type in which case JD has not differentiated a different harness to my knowledge.

The dealer was sent the same photos for research. Hopefully someone can chime in on this. I also have also not checked into the reverse switch as I’m dealing with the above first.

I am thinking about doing this on 2021 590M A couple of questions:

the front harness is just for the front turn signtals? (I bought a special harness for the dual beam lights that contains an additional set of front plugs, but it is a different part number than what you used)

How do the back lights mount and any tricks to snaking the wire through the rollbar?
