OK, new toi the forums, looks great! I have an 825i that the 4 wheel drive isn't working on. I thought my problem was in the back at the transfer case, but tore that down and all was good. Now I'm thinking the soleniod, which we have now removed, but $318 at Deere....smh. Anyways, it's not moving much when we engage it, like not even a 1/16", would that be my problem? Thanks

Have you tested resistance between the terminals on the solenoid? The specifications are 5.5 +/- 2 ohms.

Have you looked for grounds or shorts between the terminals, also look for bare metal in the center of the solenoid.

There must be NO continuity between the terminals and the center of the solenoid. If there is continuity between the terminals and the center of the solenoid, replace the solenoid.

If the resistance is out of specification, replace the solenoid.

Check with Power Sports Nation in Norfolk Nebraska for used parts, they’re a large used part warehouse for UTV’s.

Where is the fuel filter on a 825i Gator?

Welcome

Feel free to post often, photos are always appreciated !

Suggest you create a new post rather than tag on to an existing thread. Your question may be easily overlooked as the subject mater of the original thread is different than your question.

As a FYI, when sourcing parts Deere does not reference the DOM or Date of Manufacture, they use the PIN or Product Identification Number.

Depending on the model, the PIN can be found on a placard in front of right rear tire on the frame OR stamped on the frame under the passenger seat and sometimes on a label near the rear hitch.

If you are curious as to the DOM of your Gator, look under John Deere Gator Forums, click on the first discussion area What Year Is My Gator.

From here you will see a thread titled -Model Year Lookup Table- look for your PIN. If your PIN is not there see your dealership.

There are several online Deere part warehouses such as Green Farm Parts use code GTT for discount and Green Part Store use code TTWT for free shipping. These online companies can often provide better pricing than local dealerships.
