I bought my 2013 gator 825i gasoline engine new in 2013. The fuel gage has never worked but John Deere said if it worked partially, some of the time maybe shows full or maybe shows empty, they weren't going to do a thing. Therefore, I really don't know how much fuel I have when I am any distance from my fuel. Better carry a 5 gal. can of gasoline with you. Also, the excessive heat that comes from under the dash makes it virtually unusable in the summer heat. John Deere said I could modify the insulation in the dash but duh! that negates the warranty. I have been a John Deere tractor and implement owner for over 40 years but this one takes the cake. I never had a problem with my Kawasaki mule. I am so sorry that I got a Gator. Noisy gasoline engine, excessive heat and a non-working fuel gage. I went as far as I could with John Deere and they just told me to quit calling. Won't try this again.

I have a 2013. The gas gauge does not read full very often even when I fill to top of tank but no issues otherwise. You can go a long way on a full tank to me but if I want going anywhere long I would take gas anyway.

Do you have a cab? I do not. I do feel some heat and obviously it is coming off the radiator and then under the dash since it is not sealed at all. I suspect just a simple barrier could resolve that but do not consider that JD's major fault.

I do not consider these major faults. I could understand design complaints like seating, foot room, etc.

I did get the silent rider muffler to quiet down the Gator so that helped on the noise.

The key to a good relationship is a good dealer.
