I'm trying to remove the secondary clutch on an 825i. Does anyone know if the center bolt has right or left handed threads? I've tried both ways and am not having any luck.

My JD tech ref does not mention anything unique about removing the driven clutch (secondary clutch) bolt. The torque on the bolt is 52 ft lbs.

You are supposed to mark the parts to assemble it back correctly.

Hi, I know this is an old post - hopefully I can help the next person with this problem.

I can confirm that the secondary clutch bolt for my 2013 825i s4 is right hand thread - it shows as part 19M7815 on JDParts.

I too had the same problem as the original poster - the secondary clutch bolt would not budge even with a high-power impact, heating and letting it cool, lubing it for days, etc.

The fix for me was a tip from a JD service manual I found online - see pic:
  • First wedge a block of wood between the belt and the secondary clutch pulley.
  • Then use a long breaker bar and lefty-loosey - the bolt will first extend out from the clutch, before it comes loose.
Hope this helps!
