Hi all, found this site while googling for an answer to my problem.

I have a 2008 850D (diesel of course) that was working fine until yesterday. It starts fine and then after 15-30 seconds starts idling really rough and eventually dies. When it's doing this (idling rough) the throttle is non-responsive. When I first start it the idle is normal and the throttle works fine. I changed the shut-off solenoid thinking that might be it but this did not change anything. I took off the air intake hose from the intake manifold to eliminate the possibility of an air issue and tried it again; no change.

Help please!

Thanks
J

I would check fuel quality and unrestricted fuel flow.

Have you checked the fuel filter yet?... Clean and no water present? Is there good fuel flow after the filter! Did you verify the fuel transfer pump is runnning?
