Anyone have a recommendation on a replacement motor or aftermarket motor for a 550 XUV S4 at a reasonable price?

A replacement engine from Deere would be the easiest since it wouldn't need any modifications. About $1'500 isn't too bad for an OEM replacement. You'll spend close to that or more switching to another engine. If you search online there are companies that offer engine conversion kits but I think you'll still be about the same price.
