I replaced the fuel filter- wish I didn’t 😳😳 I have moved the little priming lever up and down for hours and nothing is happening. Still no fuel in the filter bowl. What am I doing wrong?? Not wanting to put it on a trailer and take it 2 hours to the dealer.
My technique is to use hemostats to clamp off the fuel lines and then remove the filter assembly. When I swap out the cartridge, I fill the bowl with fuel. Reinstall and remove the hemostats. Takes about 5 seconds of cranking and I'm good to go. I never had a "priming lever". The lever on the side is a fuel cut off valve.
