I have a hard working Gator 855D on the farm and some of my ground is seasonally very wet. The Gator is a great machine and I really don't know what I would do without it, but, ground clearance has always been an issue, and it is vastly under-tyred from the factory for what I need. It is now 4 years old from new and this year I decided to take action and sort it. First thing I did was lift the suspension by 2". The original rear 26x10x12 Ankla's are now on the front after fitting a 1 1/4" hub spacer kit. Rear tyres are Kenda Executioner 26x12x12, and the duals from Clic are Zillas 26x9x12. The duals take 30 seconds to put on and off after driving the rears up on small wooden blocks. Both the duals fit neatly in the bed on removal so are easy transported. Needless to say the grip is phenomenal. Ideally the duals should be an inch smaller in diameter that the main wheel but I am making use of the tyres I have at hand until they wear out. I will probably move the main tyres to 27" when they wear, reluctant to go to 28" because I tow a lot. Talk to Mark at Fieldens.co.uk, they are agents for Clic dual wheel systems, Swiss company. Very helpful. Originally posted this in the wrong part of the forum.
