We have just brought a used Gator that has been sat for around a year. We have replaced the coils and shocks. The problem we are having is getting the transmission to shift. It is stuck in reverse, we have removed the neutral position sensor and we have found if we put the selector in gear and use a screwdriver in the location holes were the neutral switches are and move the mechanism we can get it into the different gears(forward, reverse and neutral).
Does anyone have diagram of how the selector is attached to the mechanism to change gear. We were hoping not to have to strip the transmission and rebuild it, but it looks like that’s the way we are heading.
Thanks for any help.

Sorry to ask a "dumb question", but.... Sure it's not just a stuck cable? Sounds like you have it disconnected off of the transmission already, the selector handle/cable on the dash works freely?

The original cables on the 550 had a water penetration issue and could rust up as I understand it making shifting difficult to impossible.
