Hi all im new to this forum stuff so please excuse me if i make any mistakes in etiquette ,



i have a 6x4 gator diesel circa 2002-2006 ish



it has lost all power to the ignition lights and show no signs of life except the head lights ,

does anybody know of any fuses other than the ones under steering wheel ?

or can anybody point me in the right direction to solve this ?

Do you by chance have a copy of the Operators Manual for your Gator?

After reviewing the manual I don’t believe there is a second fuse panel on this model.

I have inserted a couple screenshots below from the Operators Manual that may help?

Still cant get anything , have checked all fuses , it has brand new battery ,
one thing is that the purple wire that sends pulse too starter from the back of ignition switch goes to earth when keyed , it does not send a positive electrical pulse ??

I believe this is the correct condition for the switch to go to ground to create a spark

 

I would start by replacing the ignition switch. very simple and quick to swap

 

I have taken a live feed and fused it from the battery upon to the ignition and it now works , however i still dont knocks wwhat has caused the issue

 

Did you check the fusable link? The other thing would be corrosion inside the connector sleeve. Just walk your volt-ohm meter or 12v continuity light along that main fed and hit every section.

i tested all the wires coming from starter motor above and below useable links and all had power both sides

Great news, what was your solution?

 

took power from another cable and connected to back of ignition and bingo all good
