I recently purchased a used 2014 550 XUV. Unfortunately it has the same clutch issues everyone is complaining about. Thank god for this page. I was able to read a lot of good posts about how to solve it and more importantly I learned about the clutch doc. I will be shipping out the clutch soon for a fine tuning.

One question I couldn’t seem to find the answer for was how tight does the bolt that holds the clutch on need to be tightened after reinstallation ? Would an electric impact gun be too light or a 500 lb pneumatic impact to much? If anyone knows the proper torque I would greatly appreciate it.

The OEM Technical Manual calls for 26ft/lbs torque on the center bolt for the primary clutch.

Yes, the pneumatic impact would over torque the bolt, causing the bolt to snap. Your electric impact may also over torque the bolt, as well?.

JD Clutch Doc provides all the torque specifications with their introductory letter.
