Hi everyone,
I bought a used TE gator at an on-line auction and have to go pick it up. As-Is.
Is there a special procedure for towing it?... I will need to winch it up onto the trailer, but dont want to break something in the drivetrain.....
Any suggestions or guidance, or specific experiences / tips & tricks would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forum and to eGator ownership. Put it in Service Mode (the switch is under the driver seat) and leave the key in Off. You can winch it on a trailer without issue.

Are you getting the charger for it, too? The JD charging connector is unique (and expensive).

I guess there is no mechanical free-wheeling lever at the back to disengage the axle from the motor/gearbox?.

Yes - I am getting the charger as well!

Right. There's nothing like what you would disengage on a hydrostatic transmission, for example.

Make sure the handbrake is off

I have a pdf of charger manual if needed also TM1766 that I have found very helpful on my eGator. Working on figuring a connection to my solar array for charging.

ok - cool.
I actually have several gator TM books - including the TM1766... but the one I actually need is the TM2339.
The 1766 has the charger chapter in it and it's 100% same as the 2399 chapter - so i'm good there. I just need the rest of the data for the gator itself.
