In my intro I talked about the oil and cap in the 2021 TS I just bought looking slightly milky/off colored. So today I went to change the oil n filter but wanted to check my 10w30 against JD specs first. I'm getting pissed because my oil doesn't meet specs posted in the manual. It turns out API upgraded oil specs in May 2000 and JD didn't upgrade their manual. Whereas JD manual says meet IILSAC GF5 and API SN that's been superceded

This may be relevant to other models as well but I don't know that for sure
