Hey there,

I've got a 620i that has a mystery to me noise that originates from the front right wheel area. It's almost like a popping noise that I can feel sometimes in the steering wheel. I've looked numerous times at the front right wheel area. Nothing seems loose or rubbing on the fender. My CV joint boots are in tact. The noise only occurs when driving on uneven terrain.

Could it be the spring, or a CV joint problem?

Any thoughts?

I greatly appreciate your help.

Noise on right side

I had the same noise. It was a loose wheel bearing. I jacked it up, removed wheel, pulled cotter pin, tightened up axle nut a little bit. Noise disappeared.

Thanks. I will give it a try. I was beginning to think no one had ever experienced this problem. Have a great Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for this forum.
