I bought a new oil pressure switch for the 98 diesel 6x4 gator which apparently has been upgraded from the original. The new switch seems to fit a 24 mm socket but the old one seems larger, it was hard to tell due to the location. I don't see that it can be removed with a wrench and the negative cable grounding bolt is in the way to remove the switch with a socket. Can the grounding bolt be removed or do I need to use a claw foot wrench? and if so, what is the older switch size? I know this is not a normal question but xcopterdoc will have the answer....I hope.

If I did, you and xcopterdoc wouldn't have anything to do:) I did finally realize that if I can remove the nut from the bolt obstructing access to the oil switch, it can also be removed. Sometimes my frustration gets ahead of my common sense. But I appreciate the advice and will ponder the possibility of which might be more satisfying, thumbing though a manual or testing the knowledge of this forum:):D

Darn it, my beta player is on the fritz with a failing oil pressure switch too. Can you send the tech manual for the '98 gator and a '76 panasonic beta player on Microfiche?? :)
