During winter we bought a 2014 HPX for our cabin (non snow tires). It snows real heavy (2-3ft) like three times a year. For those times what would you suggest chains or adding a blade or just running it through it? they plow our street but stop like 200 ft away. we hoofed it this year each time, but would like to park car where they plow and use HPX to get to cabin. thoughts????

Here is your delemia...at the very least you should replace your current tires with a more aggressive "all terrain" tread design that will handle snow up to 6-8 inches in depth. If you are really dealing with 2-3 feet of snow then a full on snow plow set up will cost you $2500 +/- for the plow, mounting bracket, hoist motor and electric controls plus a couple of hundred in installation costs if you are not mechanically inclined. If your frequency of the issue is 2-3 time per year I suggest you explore the cost of contract snow plowing from the end of the county road to your house....you can get a lot of plowing for $2,500+ and less wear on the Gator.
