Looking for knowledge to help troubleshoot. Have a '21 XUV590M. 40 hours on it. Sits for couple weeks at a time. Recently sat at the dealer getting a brake line recall repair done. They leave it outside which rags me but nothing I can do. Anyway, got it home a week and change ago. Took out recently and started up fine. Ran around maybe 10 minutes. Parked and when I restarted after 10 minutes, both the STOP and BATTERY indicator lights notified on the dash. BATTERY indicator is flashing and STOP Indicator is solid. When I tried to restart, yiou can hear the fuel pump charge but I get nothing. Removed battery and checked charge, Was down at 11.8V so put that in charger. Went to Pape Machinery got a new battery. Installed it today. Fired up once-no lights. Turned it off and STOP and BATTERY indicators back on. Checked the voltage both at rest when connected =12.5V and when keyed to start and fuel pump runs drops to 12.1V. Cant figure this out. Did I get a bad new battery from the dealer too? I suppose I will remove the new battery and bench charge that while I try putting the old back in now that its charged back to 12.95V.

However, before I do that, anyone can tell my what are the causes of these indicators to come on at same time?

Ok so one update. I had let the thing sit with the new battery for about an hour. Went out to cover it up and just tried to start before I did. Well, it fired up fine. No indicator lights now, BUT...........the dash is now showing incorrect hours and the transmission indicator wont switch off Park. None of this makes any sense. One thing that may be telltale---the Dash speedo has lots of moisture behind the glass due to dealer letting it set out in the rain for weeks at a time. I suspect the dash display issue may be due to this moisture. Anyway. any ideas would be appreciated.

hmm I would be surprised if you have moisture in your dash, I mean anything is possible, but I have gators that have never been under a cover for 10 years and never got water in the display. the buttons have worn and faded to the point you can't read them, but the display still works.

Moisture in displays is not an anomaly. There have been reports in the past about moisture.
Your battery voltages mentioned above seem to low. Fully charge is 12.6 to 12.7 depending on battery temperature. When running it should be near 14 as rough value.

You obviously dont live in the northwest. Its a LOT of moisture. Irritated with Pape Machinery letting is set outside for 3 weeks every time I think about it. So back to the voltage. With the new battery its starting and running fine. What is not working is the digital dash readout. When you first key the ignition all the dash readings flash but then it goes into some kind of shutdown mode. I am guessing when the battery was ouit for that hour space of time the digital dash went in to some kind of sleep mode and needs to be woken up, I plan to review the owners manual tonight to see if those two buttons on right of dash have something to do with which digital readout you get on the dash.

So here's a photo of the current state of the dash digital readout. It seems to be sort of improving as the moisture clears but in no way is it correcting to baseline. Any help here would be appreciated as well. I plan to stop by Pape Machinery this week and see what they have to say. I will post their reply.

You might want to look up the cost of a new display to put the problem in perspective.

Good luck.
