Hi All,

I've inherited a 2006 TE gator which I'm in the process of stripping to repaint.
So my (first of many I'd say) question is, does anyone know what the diff/trans axle oil servicing interval is? Also what type & quantity of oil?
I can't find any info on it online and my local dealer is worse than useless !

Many thanks in advance

Welcome

Here is a copy of a Operators Manual for the TE.

I believe the information you requested should be in this manual.

Good luck!

You’re welcome, I should have reviewed the manual before sending the link.

That’s crazy JD did not include this information in the Operators Manual.

Yes! A little more delving into jd.com and I see the technical manual is available to purchase, $120 or so. One would have expected that to have been supplied with a new gator purchase?!
Oh well, I’ll have to beg my dealer to get his finger out and order me a copy

Check EBay for OEM Technical Manuals on CD or occasionally there are new and used Paperback copies for less than a JD dealership.

This is out of the tech manual.

Hi just checking in again,
They’re saying 0.4lts of diff/transaxle oil, that seems very little, what do you think?
Also how does one go about filling the diff?
The drain plug is underneath. There is a little breather pipe coming off the left axle, through that maybe? With some kind of syringe?

Again, god bless your knowledge

I had the transaxle off for refurb so I just flipped it over and filled it up through the drain hole.
Still not sure how you would do this with it attached.
