Has anyone ridden in the UP of Michigan? I am thinking about going there in a couple - 3 weeks and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

Hello:

I live in the UP around Iron Mountain, MI., You can ride all of the country roads, the country roads are your best trails, there is not much in the UP as far as a trail system goes.

Oh i had heard that they opened up all the Snowmobile trails in the UP which was part of the reason for the increase in Trail Permit Price.. Hmmmmm

Not all of the snowmobile trails are open to ATV, and some of the trails that are open to ATV are such water and mud holes you cannot get through, the increase in trail permits is a joke, if you want nice trails cross over into WI. they are nice, I live on the border of WI and do a lot of my riding in WI.

Thanks for the info. I have rode a lot in Lake County and a bit of the surrounding areas. May have to shoot for WI instead!
