Our XUV 590i Gator has very few hours in it and we have a lot of issues shifting. It is just really hard to shift; almost impossible. Its a shame to have spent so much for it to just sit in storage bc we can't use it. Have see YouTube and it sounds like other people are having the same issue. Does anyone have a solution?

Shifting issues on a Gator and it’s new? You have to be joking, right.
It has to be user error as JD would not produce something with a design issue.

all joking aside this is a common problem spanning more than 10 years.Set aside 154 hours of reading and search this forum or look up the clutch doctor for Repairs.

if it shifts easy when off he’ll definitely be able to help.

sometimes cleaning can help but don’t lubricate!

If under warranty consult your dealer and have them fix.

The good news is that the clutch is identified as the Achilles heel. The rest of the machine is very good.

It is very common for the dealer to replace the clutch with a new one from Deere and it soon exhibits the same problem. When you want it fixed permanently after it’s out of warranty, contact [email protected] for a permanent solution.
