How many of you have done a couple dino oil changes before switching to synthetic when breaking in your new rsx?

Yes but you know they say to run some dino on a new engine before switching over to synthetic to help seat the Rings properly. And just because it's dino oil doesn't mean it's low quality... I ended up changing out with the plus 50 II 0w-40 but I was just seeing if people had done it

Its a myth that you need to run petroleum oil to break in a new engine. Another one of the many myths about synthetic oil that is spread by the internet. Many new vehicles come factory filled with synthetic oil and they have all broken it quite well. If there was any truth to that myth they would not factory fill them with synthetic oil.

That may be true about the new vehicles.. But those aren't high performance motorcycle engines either.. And also you do know that JD fills the piaggio engine with their break-in oil right? (which is petroleum based)
