mmmm $3200 is outta price range!!!!!!

That actually seems fair considering you are getting a lift and gear reduction essentially.

By the time you buy custom axles for your custom built lift, you'll be over $3,200

idk last two guysd iv talked too about building a lift the most was only 2800 but i guess u r correct about the gear reduction but having seen one on a can-am i will never wanna own one. u need 20 acres to turn around in lol

Well guys you have to play

idk i think we would be better off with more information and a picture before someone pulled the trigger

Highlighter attempted to bring these to market last year. There were quite a few issues at that time. Hopefully this company has made some positive changes.

I have never seen any in action on a sxs but portal hubs have been in the mud truck world for many many years.

If done right, big lifts and clutch kits are a thing of the past imo

I doubt the Gator market will ever demand large lift kits. Heck, we can't even get aftermarket axles for the RSX.

The only thing I can think of is to get someone to build you a set of control arms and extended axles that are 4-5" wider (longer) per side to allow for the height. There isn't much wiggle room with the factory axles as far as added height goes. So going wide will be one of the few ways to allow you to go up.

I'm not sure how others have been done before, but that is how it is done in my brain. Make the axle/a-arms longer and it will lift you higher at the same angle as factory or 2" lifted.

Also, short of custom length axles, cutting and sleeving the factory axles with a LOT of plug welds would be the place I would start. Making control arms wouldn't be too terrible either. Find some bushings with the same bolt diameter and bracket width to go on the frame and drill the balljoint taper out of the knuckle and use heim joints or uniball type ends.

Turner Axles! The shop name is Turner Cycles in Humble Texas. They made the axles on our 855D. Custom work, but they made them.

That thing is so badass. It will turn heads anywhere you go.

UPDATE>>>

Well looking over the build I'd have to say, "never have Solid Metal Wrx do any work on your machine". Some really shoddy work for the price paid. Not even drivable.

Josh had called and said there was a little wear in the rack and pinion steering. There was none when it went up there. Well it's not wear, they broke the unit. The fit and welding look like a 5 year old threw it together.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR MACHINE TO THAT HACK SHOP.

They don't return calls either. Word is Josh will be going to work for a custom car builder in Austin Texas. If you find one there with a guy named Josh..... steer clear. Will not be nothing but garbage work.
